What is SPOGOMI?
SPOGOMI is the combination of two words - ‘sport’ and ‘ごみ (gomi),’ the Japanese word for trash. Together, SPOGOMI is the sport of picking up trash.
SPOGOMI is promoted worldwide via the SPOGOMI Federation, a special project of the Nippon Foundation. SPOGOMI is now active in 35+ countries worldwide which all participate in regular trash cleanups and compete in the SPOGOMI World Cup.
